Relaxing cutwork on Sunday

I sit and watch our sheep graze and hope that we have come to an understanding about boundaries. On  Thursday we got a flock of 17 sheep and were not ready for them, so they had the run of the place so to speak. Friday we finished setting up the electrical fence - the Economical version- and they laughed at that. Saturday we had the almost the optimal version (4 as of opposed to  2 strings of wire) and they seem to be respecting this so far (knock on wood).   No, no sheep drawing as yet :)
To try to relax my brain I got out my art knife and played with a bird doodle and a sweet cheeks image.
- just a scrap of plane  paper

- added black acrylic paint and then a 3d type lacquer finish. Do not really like the result here and it stuck to the paper. Need to invest in felt-pens if I wish to colour the cut work as the paint makes it too soft and sticky .

Hope you have a wonderfully relaxing Sunday and pop by Sophia's Sunday Sketches to to see some wonderful art.
Cheers

Hi Jehanne,
Can just imagine the sheep running riot... I had a similar experience with chickens a few years ago... our fence was not quite high enough..and there was me thinking that chickens can't fly...we chased the darn things all round the garden and neighbours garden two doors down...

Glad you finding time to relax...love the little foot and leg we see just disappearing into the roses....have good weekend..

Is that a cheeky fairy climbing in that plant pot? What fun. Paper cutting is indeed very relaxing - I think it's because you have to focus so totally on what you're doing that all other stresses get banished - or, in your case, baaa-nished!!
