IF- Satellite

What to say, what to say... there are two things behinds this doodle. The main one is that I am trying to figure out how to paint a sunrise scene with digital watercolour. It would be no problem if I gave in and used the air-brush or photoshop but I wish to have a watercolour look from Painter. The other thing is a meaning of satellite that was bouncing around in my head but which I could not find in a dictionary. The definition I worked with was: a satellite is any body which follows a path around another. So in this doodle some flower fairies are performing a sunrise ritual around a hydrangea type flower.
Cheers

Good job with the Painter (I got it for pretty much the same reason, the whole digital watercolor thing). It seems very sunrisish, looks like it's glowing with light!

Thanks Missy. I tend to want to go very dark in the mid and foreground for sunrises (and sunsets) but alas that will not do with the kid's book illustration I am banging my head about and there are tons of those types of scenes :(.

Great concept! And you are so good about challenging yourself with the tools and not giving up. I think this looks terrific!
